My garden

Both my mother and grandmother will agree that I did not inherit their amazing gardening skills, but saying that I do have to say that I am quite proud of our garden at the moment. Here's a few shots I took this morning as I was admiring it, we planted 2 years ago and I'm astonished at how much it has all grown. Hopefully the beautiful weather keeps up over the weekend so we can all enjoy being outdoors!

Barnwood Headboard - I love this!

All this tree change talk (or is it just me?) has got me thinking about the idea of having a beautiful luxury getaway in the country - hubby getting his head around it still! I found this gorgeous headboard idea in the DIY section of the fabulous Design Sponge. It looks earthy & calming, just perfect, and better still I think even I could make it! I personally love this shot and with Christmas coming up I have certainly started to think about my table at home and I'm loving the natural mixed back with the hints of red. The cutest car! The Fiat 500 "Jolly"

May we present to you our inaugural Ladylike Ride: the Fiat 500 Jolly.  She was manufactured by Ghia in the late 1950s as a beach-side auto for Mediterranean playboys.  This little baby had wicker seats, removed side panels, a “surrey-with-the-fringe-on-top” and came in a bunch of granita-like colors.

The Jolly is perfect for seaside picnics with a red checkered tablecloth, a nice bottle of white wine and a caprese salad.  Jackie O had one when she was married to Aristotle Onassis and so did Grace Kelly.  So, hop on in, tie on a silk kerchief, don’t forget the cat-eye shades and take a spin along the coast!

Beautiful Christmas table styling inspiration

I received my new Christmas issue of Inside Out today and I'm just loving it! Especially the "One Table Three Ways" themes - Classic European, Banquet Bouquets and Natural High. It is definitely inspiring me and getting me thinking about my Christmas "look" - If I had to choose my favourite its the Classic European, but I have a red painting in the dining room so maybe Natural High with Red could look fabulous? They are all beautiful, helped of course by the wonderful styling of Mr Glen Proebstel and Photography of Sharyn Cairns.
