Looking at beds for our next shoot and I came across these amazing white painted decorative beds, could be thought of as abit Franco Cozzo, but no they are from the dramatic Soho House, a private members club and hotel in New York. I would love to stay here on my next trip to NYC but it just could be a tad $$ - it does look stunning.

We are currently busy preparing for our next catalogue photoshoot and working on finalising our new Spring Summer 2010 collection so I have not been able to post for a couple of weeks! We are also working on our international stockists and have our wonderful UK partners here at the moment, they have been to The Middle East and just check out this fabulous super cool store - its called "The One" and being a Bono fan I had to check out the website. Have a look and it is also a great read - the story behind the store is very real and a breath of fresh air to hear the set backs within the story and that they overcame these set backs, normally all we hear is the good things - an interesting read. This is "the One" store that we would definitely love to sell AURA to!

Just had to post Donna Hay's beautiful, perfect Pavlova, as attempted on the first episode of Australian Master Chef tonight, my mother is the master Pav maker but they have never looked like this petit little lady. I am totally inspired to give it a go - the contestants had to cook Donna's receipe but got to pick their own toppings, Mum used to finish ours off with grated Peppermint crisp which was always abit of a favorite. Find the recipe here.

I have alot of people contact me and ask me about where i get my inspiration from and which far off exotic citys inspire me - well we went to The Grampians at Easter and what more inspiration could you ask for. The shots above are walking up Mount Abrubt - great walking track and the colours where amazing, the rocks are so grey yet the foliage is such amazing shades of green, yellow and orange - I love how there is so much contrast within the landscape.

Marni above and below (just love Marni!)
Suzanne Sharp (founder of The Rug Company) above and below.
Sitting at home contemplating Melbourne's wild weather I decided I would love one of these stunning rugs by The Rug Company, they have a large collection of designer rugs and these above are just a few of my favorites - quite inspiring also - I love this shot above of the Suzanne Sharp rug, im certainly loving anything dark and moody at the moment....You never know maybe a collection of AURA rugs on day?? See more here.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the previous redevelopment of the 1940s Avalon hotel in Beverley Hills, Kelly Wearstler was back weaving her magic. Kelly is amazing and does fabulous inspirational work but also does tend to be just abit OTT for me usually, but I do like what she has done here, the colours are all quite soft and liveable, beautiful tones of blues, creams and golds in a lush italian mid-century revamp. If you happen to be off to LA check it out as I would love the opportunity to stay here and check out Kelly's aspirational work. See more here.

We went camping over the Easter break and the 2 man tent wasnt too bad an experience - quite nice really - but I think I would have been happier with this amazing caravan above! Big bed, crisp linen and a lovely log fire! This could be inspiration for our next AURA shoot or our next holiday - either way I dont mind - Although I dont think husband would be too keen towing it behind the Mini - now that would get us a few looks! Lovely Caravan shot found on Kylie's blog - see more here.
