Weekend Tea Cosy inspiration

This weekend I was greatly inspired, yet again, by my very talented Mother in law and her amazing nibble fingers at the age of 86. Above are a collection of her Tea Cosies she has made, some patterns are from the crafty goddess, or as she calls herself the "Tea Cosy Queen" Loani Prior and her books Wild Tea Cosies. Kate Spade - Xmas wrapping inspiration in Hong Kong

I love this emerald & chocolate wrapping in the Kate Spade Hong Kong Store.

I do love the constant colour overload at Kate Spade, and her HK store windows were no exception. They have made me start thinking about my Christmas wrapping (about time since today is December 12th!) and I dont know which way to go - bright and metallic or earthy and natural - I think I might have to mix them both as even though I am feeling abit more natural these days its hard to go away from exotic colours like this. So now I have to start thinking about gifts and putting up the tress since I have the wrapping worked out! In case you havent guessed im never very organised at Christmas....

There was huge excitment around our AURA office this week as our beautiful hand made Silk and Linen scarves have arrived! This is the first range of scarves we have done and my family and friends will all be looking very glamorous this Christmas! Our friend of AURA Michele Duncan has borrowed the Silk Tie Dye in Caviar to dress up her sexy black Cup Day frock - I'II make sure we get a shot of her strutting her stuff today on race day! 

Scarf wearing Inspiration!

I am pretty excited that our new scarves are on their way - in the anticipation of them arriving next week I was searching for some cool scarf wearing techniques in Madrid not long ago. Its an art scarf wearing and the Spanish seem to have it covered! Especially Miss Sixty above were I found what I could only call the western cowboy look and the slick Annie Lennox 80s revivial wrapped look!

Shown here in a spread from the new Real Living Christmas issue they are from Douglas and Hope in Melbourne - im on the look out and hopefully will find them soon - if not they could definately end up being a good Christmas Gift!
